The new Palworld MMO is officially on the way, but it will not simply be a smaller mobile port of Pocketpair’s popular survival game. Titled Palworld Online, the upcoming spin-off is being developed and published by Singaporean-based Garena under an official license from Pocketpair.
Scheduled to launch on iOS and Android before the end of 2026, Palworld Online is described as a large-scale multiplayer survival adventure built specifically for mobile devices. Garena has not announced an exact release date yet.
The game will preserve many of the ideas that made the original Palworld so entertaining. Players will explore an interconnected open world, capture mysterious creatures known as Pals, gather resources and construct bases. However, the new Palworld MMO will place a much greater emphasis on sharing that world with other players.
Adventurers will be able to meet in real time, form groups, and participate in cooperative PvE activities, including large world-boss encounters. Competitive PvP modes are also planned for players who would rather test their Pals against other tamers.
Base building is returning as well, with players able to create settlements alongside friends. Captured Pals can be assigned jobs, automate resource production and help protect the group’s home. The controls are being redesigned for touchscreens, including optional one-tap shortcuts intended to simplify building and Pal management.
Most importantly, this is not expected to be a retelling of the original game. Palworld Online will feature a new setting, an original main storyline and exclusive side stories designed around its persistent multiplayer world. New Pals are also expected to be released for the MMO as well, which is something fans of the universe will be anticipating eagerly.
There are still unanswered questions surrounding monetization, cross-platform play, beta testing and pre-registration. Even so, the combination of cooperative exploration, shared settlements and large-scale battles will make Palworld Online one of 2026’s most interesting mobile MMO releases. Are you hyped for a new Palworld game?
